How HEMA Foundation is Empowering Children with Quality Value Education

At the HEMA Foundation, we are driven by a singular purpose: to play a meaningful role in imparting value-based education, making the world a better place for future generations. Quality education for children must go beyond academics and equip them with lifelong values, morals, and ethics. Through a unique model, the HEMA Foundation is committed to filling this gap by integrating value education with formal schooling.

The Importance of Value Education in Schools

Value education begins at home, but its role continues throughout one’s life. Schools are fundamental environments where children spend formative years and develop lifelong behaviors. Academic institutions are therefore ideal for fostering a deep, practical understanding of values. Rather than being an isolated textbook subject, value education should be seamlessly integrated into a child’s daily life, helping them understand and embody values such as respect, courage, and kindness. This approach empowers children to lead purposeful and compassionate lives.

HEMA Foundation's Journey of Value Dissemination

Founded with the belief that collective efforts can overcome challenges, HEMA Foundation embarked on its journey in 2016. Since then, our programs have impacted over 407,952 students and 11,406 teachers across 6,726 schools in India. Through our CSR initiatives, we offer these programs to schools without financial strain, making quality value education accessible to everyone.

HEM Virtues: A Model Aligned with NEP 2020

Our flagship platform, HEM Virtues, was designed to integrate value education with academic subjects, supporting NEP 2020’s focus on holistic education. HEM Virtues provides schools with comprehensive learning materials that align with the curriculum frameworks of various school boards. In addition, we created 48 short films based on NCERT-prescribed values, introducing students to concepts such as honesty, kindness, curiosity, and respect for the nation. In 2020 and 2021, we expanded HEM Virtues through an e-portal, reaching thousands of students with activities that foster real-life applications of values.
