We at the HEMA Foundation, our work is guided by a singular and powerful purpose: to shape a better tomorrow by imparting value-based education. We believe that true quality education must go beyond textbooks and grades—it must nurture the mind and the heart. For education to be truly transformative, it should empower children with values, morals, and ethics that last a lifetime.
Why Value Education Matters
While the foundation of values begins at home, schools play a critical role in shaping who children become. Students spend a significant part of their lives in school—these formative years are when they begin to develop lifelong behaviors and attitudes. That’s why schools are the ideal place to embed value education—not as a standalone subject, but as a part of everyday learning.
When children learn to live values like respect, kindness, honesty, and courage, they grow up with the strength and empathy to lead meaningful lives and build a better society.
Our Journey: Reaching Hearts Across India
Since our inception in 2016, HEMA Foundation has been driven by the belief that collective action can overcome any challenge. What started as a passionate idea has now impacted more than 421368, students and 12032, teachers across 6928,schools in India.
Thanks to strong CSR support, our programs are delivered to schools free of cost, ensuring every child has access to high-quality, values-based education—regardless of their background.
HEM Virtues: Merging Values with Curriculum
To further this mission, we launched our flagship platform—HEM Virtues. Aligned with NEP 2020, HEM Virtues is a one-of-a-kind model that integrates value education into mainstream academics.
Our comprehensive learning materials are mapped to various school boards, making it easy for educators to deliver values alongside standard curriculum. We've also produced 50 engaging short films, each built around NCERT-prescribed values like curiosity, empathy, and patriotism, and many more helping children relate to values in everyday situations.
Digital Innovation for Deeper Impact
In 2020 and 2021, we expanded HEM Virtues through an intuitive e-portal, allowing thousands of students to access interactive content online. This digital platform encourages children to live the values they learn, turning concepts into real-life experiences.

421,368 students across 6,928 schools is the scale that makes this model worth studying—not just by teachers, but by CSR officers and district coordinators who need value education to fit existing boards. The 50 short films tied to NCERT values are especially portable. Teams weighing digital delivery, including some of the best AI tools for classrooms, can adapt that structure without bolting on a separate subject.
Reading about the 50 short films built around NCERT values like curiosity and empathy made me think of how small routines teach values too. My nephew struggled with patience, so we used a cursive handwriting worksheet generator to create tracing pages, and the slow repetition became a daily lesson in focus and perseverance. It reminded me that values stick when they’re woven into ordinary practice, not lectured. That scale—6928 schools—gives me hope.
